Manifesting Your Hopes & Dreams

Have you ever thought really hard about something and then next thing you know it has just fallen in your lap? Or have you wished something right into happening? This is something I have noticed happening a lot more lately in my  life so I started looking into it a bit more. The following excerpt is from Wikipedia:

Law of Attraction is the belief that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts people can bring positive or negative experiences into their life. The belief is based on the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from “pure energy”, and that through the process of “like energy attracting like energy” a person can improve his own health, wealth, and personal relationships.

The other day I was thinking about money and trying to determine how on earth I was going to pay for my Executive Masters program, tuition ain’t cheap! But instead of stressing about it, I just said to myself that everything would be fine and the money wouldn’t be a problem. The next day I was walking to work and found a $5 bill on the ground, “wow, it must be my lucky day.” Now I know what you are thinking…oh great there you have 5 out of 40,000! But the way I see it is, the universe has sent my a subtle reminder that it will all be OK. And now I am sure that something else will transpire leading to further support. Now this is just a tiny example but ever since then I have been making sure that I only put out positivity into the world. I love my job, I love my apartment and I love my cat, everything is just wonderful.

You might be asking yourself, how can you start manifesting all of your desires? Here are some of my tips. Remember the law of attraction (positive attracts positive and negative negative.)

  • Try to remove negative thoughts from your routine. Instead of complaining about your current circumstances try speaking positively. One way of doing this is stating three things you are grateful for every morning or night before bed.
  • Be compassionate towards everyone! That guy who cut you off driving, must be late for something important. That cashier who is rude to you, must be having a hard week. Your boss who won’t get off your back, they are just trying to coach you. Try to remember that most people are coming from a place of good and they didn’t intend to do wrong by you.
  • Make a list of all of the things you want and then hide it away. I usually do this on New Years Day and store it somewhere that I can’t see it, then the next year I read the list and see what I have accomplished.
  • Stop using words like “if”. For example, “If I get promoted I will be so happy” instead say, “When I get promoted I will be so happy.”
  • Think of a mantra to say to yourself when things are looking bleak. “I am happy, I am healthy and I will achieve great things.”

Go ahead and give it a try! You will be successful.
